Welcome to Maison 1952. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of maison1952.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make through it. By visiting the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

Maison 1952 is a brand of Sonrisa International OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 17467587, with its registered office at Parda tn 8, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia. References to "we," "us," or "our" mean Sonrisa International OÜ, which is the seller and merchant of record for every order placed on the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the involvement of a parent or guardian, to place an order on this Site. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

3. Products and pricing

  • We make every effort to display product colours, materials and details accurately, but slight variations (especially in colour, due to screen display differences) may occur.
  • Prices are shown in the currency of your selected country where we support it, and otherwise in US Dollars. You can change your country using the selector in the footer of any page.
  • Shipping is calculated separately at checkout. Customs duties and import taxes may apply depending on your destination country — see section 5.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.
  • Where a product is shown with a higher reference price alongside the selling price, that reference price is the recommended retail price for the item.
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or correct pricing or listing errors at any time, including after an order has been placed. If a pricing error is discovered on an order you have placed, we will contact you before charging or shipping.

4. Orders and payment

  • Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline at our discretion (for example, in cases of suspected fraud, stock unavailability, or a pricing or listing error). A contract of sale is formed when we send you a shipping confirmation.
  • Payment is required in full at the time of order.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate billing, shipping and contact information. We are not responsible for delayed or failed delivery due to incorrect information provided at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at any time, for any reason, including limits on quantities purchased per person or per order.

5. Shipping, delivery and duties

  • All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, by DHL Express.
  • Shipping timelines and costs are shown at checkout and vary by destination. Full detail is set out in our Shipping & Delivery information.
  • Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. Where you are a consumer, risk passes to you when you or a person you have nominated takes physical possession of the goods.
  • Your order ships internationally from the United Arab Emirates. Customs duties, import taxes and any carrier clearance or handling fee are not included in the price paid at checkout. Where they apply they are set by the customs authority of your destination country, are payable by you as the recipient on or before delivery, and are collected by the carrier. We are not able to calculate or quote them in advance.

6. Returns and refunds

Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. By placing an order, you agree to the terms of that policy as well as these Terms. Nothing in that policy or these Terms affects any statutory right you have as a consumer.

7. Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and UK

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day on which you, or a person you nominate, takes physical possession of the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, tell us clearly of your decision before the 14 days are up, by email to customercare@maison1952.com. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back to us.

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the standard outbound delivery cost, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day we are informed of your decision. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them. Reimbursement is made using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods, and you are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, product photography and design — is the property of Sonrisa International OÜ or its licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our prior written permission.

9. Acceptable use

When using this Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, our systems, or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with the Site's security, availability, or normal operation
  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information, including at checkout

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms.

10. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to or use third-party services (such as payment processors or shipping carriers). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times. Nothing in this section affects the statutory guarantee of conformity that applies to goods sold to consumers.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sonrisa International OÜ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or purchase of products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you based on your location.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sonrisa International OÜ and its team from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We ask that you contact us first at customercare@maison1952.com so that we have the opportunity to resolve the matter directly.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and apply to orders placed after that date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
